HOW DOES BOTOX® WORK?
Repetitive facial contractions (smiling, squinting or frowning) create visible lines and wrinkles. BOTOX® tells your facial muscles to relax and not fire a contraction, thus softening existing lines and minimizing new ones.
WILL I STILL BE ABLE TO MAKE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS?
Absolutely! Dr. Christine’s techniques with BOTOX® treatments relax the patient’s wrinkles and lines while still allowing natural facial expressions. Patients generally appear up to ten years younger, post treatment.
Dr. Christine utilizes her patient’s feedback to achieve their most desired cosmetic outcome. Each patient is unique in their facial expressions, and Dr. Christine’s goal is to maintain their genuine expressions while recapturing their youthfulness.

HOW MUCH BOTOX® WILL I NEED?
The amount of BOTOX® needed depends on your age and your desired patient goal. As one gets older and wrinkles become deeper, more BOTOX® is needed to achieve desired outcome.
Dr. Christine offers a complementary consultation to assess how much BOTOX® will be needed to achieve your desired goal. During your consultation, Dr. Christine will provide the product education needed to allow you to make the right decision for you. Together, you and the Doctor will formulate a treatment plan to allow you to age in a natural and graceful manner.
HOW LONG DOES BOTOX® LAST?
Each individual’s body is unique in how quickly or slowly BOTOX® is metabolized from the system. Our patient’s BOTOX® injections typically last from four to six months.
WHEN IS IT TIME TO START BOTOX® TREATMENTS?
Dr. Christine creates treatment programs to assist at all stages of wrinkles, from moderate to severe. She has great success with achieving a patient’s desired cosmetic goal at every level – including preventative programs. Starting BOTOX® treatments when wrinkles first appear can prevent those wrinkles from becoming deep and more prominent.
DO MEN GET BOTOX®?
Yes, BOTOX® Cosmetic is used by both men and women. Today’s successful men take pride in their appearance and wish to look their best. BOTOX® treatments are part of a personal care regimen, such as working out or dressing for success. IS THERE A RECOVERY PERIOD AFTER BOTOX®?
There’s no recovery time needed. As Dr. Christine approaches BOTOX® treatments in a conservative manner, her patients rarely experience side effects. Side effects are not permanent. If the patient were to experience side effects, they may include pain/redness from injection, headaches (rare), flu-like symptoms (rare), or droopy eye lid (reversible).
HOW SAFE IS BOTOX®?
Botox was first approved by the FDA in 1989 to treat eye muscle disorders; blepharospasm (uncontrollable blinking) and strabismus (crossed eyes). In the year 2000, it was approved to treat cervical dystonia (a disorder that causes severe neck and shoulder contractions). It was accidentally discovered that post treatment of the eye disorders, Botox® softened the frown lines between the eyebrow as well. In April 2002, the FDA approved BOTOX® for cosmetic use.
WHAT OTHER MEDICAL CONDITIONS CAN DR. CHRISTINE TREAT WITH BOTOX?

EXCESSIVE SWEATING
Excessive sweating or Hyperhidrosis is the medical condition of having over active sweat glands. It affects over 3 million Americans and only those patients who have it know firsthand how uncomfortable and embarrassing it can be. Common problem areas for this condition are the hands, underarms and feet.
Hyperhidrosis patients have “supercharged” nerves which cause excessive sweating. Dr. Christine utilizes BOTOX® treatments to relax these nerves and offer relief to the patient for up to 12 months.
